Prime Numbers are a guitar-based covers band who play in pubs, clubs and private venues.
Prime Numbers started way back when when John had the bright idea of starting a band. He press-ganged Ed into joining followed by anyone who wandered by and admitted they played an instrument. There was then a big split due to musical differences and this time Simon, Neville and Ian joined. We lost Neville so then Jim and Ken stepped in – Ken only popped in to do a duet on one song and we haven’t been able to get rid of him. In 2024, John retired and Ed took the opportunity to leave while nobody was looking. We’ve now been joined by Mark and Steve who bring their guitar talents and experiences with other bands.
We play “prime numbers” and we focus on music to dance to from the 60s but also include well-known songs from later times. So our songs are hits that gets people on the dance floor, whether it is in a pub, a club or a dinner dance. See our song selection here.
